We independently manage community forests in Kebumen under FSC and IFCC/PEFC, linking fair markets and supporting community growth — just as our tagline says: Good Work, Good Wood, Good Forest.

We are KOSTAJASA (Koperasi Taman Wijaya Rasa), a farmer-owned cooperative that grew from a handful of mahogany farmers into a large community forestry movement. Since 2009 we have held FSC certification; in December 2024 we completed our latest re-certification and passed with a clean sheet — no CARs, no observations. In 2018 we became fully independent, taking full ownership of governance and operations.

Recognized for our traceability and supply-chain integrity, we were chosen as a pilot project for IFCC/PEFC covering both community forest management and sawmill chain-of-custody. Today roughly 3,000 forest farmers are organized into 22 Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) across 20 villages, 8 sub-districts, and 2 regencies. For more than a decade we’ve planted about 40,000 trees annually, replenishing what we harvest and strengthening landscape resilience.

We supply only FSC and IFCC/PEFC-certified logs and timber, connecting teak, mahogany, sengon, and other species to fair national and international markets so value returns to the people who care for the trees. Twice a year we reinvest through donations, scholarships, and social support programs, turning commercial success into community development.

This is KOSTAJASA in practice: independent stewardship, long-standing certification with a spotless recent audit, pilot recognition, large-scale reforestation, broad member participation, certified timber supply, and a disciplined habit of giving back.
