Kachomo Town Council Youth Research and Health Initiative is located in Kachomo Town Council, Budaka District. We are a Community-Based Organization that is focused on youth employment.

CORE MANDATE

Kachomo Town Council Youth Research and Health Initiative (KTCYRHI) is a youth-led Community Based Organisation dedicated to empowering youth in Kachomo Town Council, Budaka District, through research, advocacy, skills development, and accountability monitoring.

SIX PILLARS OF FOCUS

1. Youth-led investigations on community issues
2. Research on SRH, HIV/AIDS, teenage pregnancy, mental health, and substance abuse
3. Accountability in youth programs Track PDM, Emyooga, YLP, NAADS
4. Monitor service delivery, document corruption
5. Training in tailoring, soap making
6.Youth participation in governance

KEY CONSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES (ARTICLE 3)

3.1Train youth in participatory research methods and conduct community-led investigations
3.2 Generate evidence on youth health issues (SRH, mental health, water, sanitation)
3.3 Research local food systems and advocate for safer food supplies
3.4 Investigate climate change impacts on youth livelihoods
3.5 Engage local leaders for policy and service improvements
3.6 Track PDM, Emyooga, YLP, UWEP, NAADS, Skilling Uganda
3.7 Identify skills gaps and connect youth to training and jobs
3.8 Equip youth with research and employability skills
3.9 Collaborate with health facilities, schools, and CBOs/NGOs
3.10 Ensure research leads to tangible action
3.11 Promote transparency, fight corruption
