ELOHIM Foundation (EF) is a Nigerian non-profit development organisation established in 2001 and registered in 2002. Its mission is to promote people-centred interventions for a sustainable human society, with a vision of “attaining a sustainable human society.”

The Foundation works across five interconnected areas: Environment, Climate Change and Agriculture; Public and Community Health; Child Protection and Gender; Livelihoods and Socio-economic Development; and Research and Capacity Development.

ELOHIM Foundation promotes practical, evidence-based and community-driven solutions to social, economic and environmental challenges. Its environmental work focuses on climate resilience, ecosystem and watershed restoration, biodiversity conservation, agroforestry, sustainable agriculture, nature-based solutions, environmental protection and circular-economy initiatives. It also supports vulnerable communities to develop sustainable livelihoods and adapt to climate and environmental changes. Its child protection and gender programmes promote the rights, safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and communities.

ELOHIM Foundation works through community participation, capacity building, research, advocacy, partnerships and policy engagement. It collaborates with government institutions, local communities, universities and research institutions, civil society organisations, development partners and private-sector actors.

The Foundation places strong emphasis on local ownership, inclusion, gender responsiveness, environmental sustainability, social justice, innovation and long-term resilience. Its approach seeks to connect environmental sustainability with improved livelihoods, health, social protection and community wellbeing, contributing to the achievement of the SDGs and Nigeria’s sustainable development priorities.
