The CCASA is the Climate Change Adaptation and Smart Actions NNGO. Registered in 2021 by RRC and since then we have been operating with funds and support provided by EDC, USAID, Concern Worldwide, DT Global and IOM South Sudan. CCASA prides itself on being a youth-led organization with 85 % of our manpower in age group under 34 years old, whereby 50 % are women, including in decision making positions.
CCASA has three offices in South Sudan: 1 small Coordination Office in Juba, and 2 field offices in Unity state of South Sudan.
The CCASA holds membership to and participates monthly to national in Juba and particularly Unity based cross sectoral and coordination platforms, such as Clusters, Sub Clusters and Working Groups. In 2024 year, our field staff working in and responsible for multi-thematic and multifunctional roles have been 32 staff mostly in Unity at senior, middle and junior levels with 50 % constituting of women, mostly based in Unity state: part time staff, technical consultant, full time staff, area based project facilitators – volunteers and field based community mobilizers who facilitate CCASA staff in projects’ implementation. At CCASA Coordination office we are 6 staff.
The CCASA has Director, while his 1 Deputy (for Programs and Operations) is female. The CCASA is equipped with functioning following departments: Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Administration, MEAL, Quality Assurance, Program. As we work towards peaceful communities where people live dignified lives, for the last four years CCASA has been focusing on the provision of integrated services in five thematic sectors: Climate Change Adaptive Livelihood and TVET, Non-formal Education, including life skills building, MHPSS, Environmental health, Protection and Gender, Education, Peacebuilding and Justice, Emergency Relief Aid and Services.
