Our Vision: To foster increased confidence and trust in the Nigerian justice system.

Since our inception, AWJAI has made significant strides in promoting justice, human rights, and Institutional accountability across Nigeria. Our activities include:
• Supporting detainees: Through our Prison Intervention Program, we have provided legal representation and advocacy for both pre-trial and post-trial detainees, ensuring their rights were upheld and securing fair outcomes.
• Facilitating reintegration: Our post-release support initiatives equip former inmates with the tools needed to rebuild their lives and transition back into society.
• Police monitoring visits: In partnership with the Administration of Criminal Justice Monitoring Committee (ACJMC), we promote adherence to legal standards, human rights protection, and improved justice delivery within the Nigerian Police Force.
• Combating professional misconduct: We have intensified efforts to hold legal and justice sector professionals accountable, working to restore trust in these critical institutions.
• Addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and child abuse: AWJAI is at the forefront of ensuring perpetrators are held accountable and survivors receive justice.
