Africa Center for Nonviolence and Sustainable Impact (AfriNov), is a Kenyan organization working to promote social justice and peace through nonviolent approaches, community empowerment, and locally-led actions. We work with women, young people and other groups that experience exclusion and vulnerability to strengthen their capacity to prevent and transform conflict, address inequalities, and participate meaningfully on decisions affecting their lives.

Our work focuses on three thematic areas; peacebuilding and nonviolence, Gender justice, and Governance and Social Accountability. We support communities through training, mentoring, community mobilization, dialogue and mediation, nonviolent actions, and awareness campaigns.

Under Gender Justice, we work to strengthen women participation and leadership, we address gender based violence and social norms, promote awareness rights, and strengthen community-based prevention.

We work with communities to identify their own challenges, understand the underlying causes, and develop practical responses that build on local knowledge, relationships, and resources.
