ACEJ is a community-based youth led non-profit organization that was formed to address the impacts of climate change, advancing climate and environmental justice, promoting gender justice, supporting good energy governance and empowering communities in Uganda to transit to renewable energy, build climate resilience, protect ecosystems, restore biodiversity and advocate for sustainable practices and human rights in climate affected areas in Uganda. We basically work with communities and connect them to the youth to amplify their voices through social media and tackle the diverse impacts of climate change.

we extend climate change education to institutions and communities through stories, cultural dances, plays and skits in different parts of the country that are greatly affected by climate change. Additionally, we are running a campaign of greening schools where we have planted and supplied schools with over 200 fruit trees with our partners women for green economy movement Uganda (Wogem)  and Green walk engineering limited. Through this partnership, we have been able to participate in national exhibitions on renewable energy and have talked many communities’ green economic alternatives like use of briquettes from maize combs.
