Learn More: Namati’s Land and Environmental Justice Programs
Join us on Wednesday, November 2 at 11:00 am EDT for a special update on Namati’s Land and Environmental Justice programs.
You will be one of the first to view a new documentary following the inspiring journey of our partners and paralegals fighting for environmental justice. Then, you will hear directly from a team of Namati leaders about important wins and learnings from around the world, such as the groundbreaking Customary Land Rights and National Land Commission Acts of Sierra Leone, Maryland’s historic commitment to climate justice, and our efforts to deepen the global movement for grassroots environmental justice. As a final note, we are thrilled to share the news that Namati has been selected as one of five awardees for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Racial Equity 2030 Challenge (here’s a link to coverage in the Washington Post). For the next eight years, Kellogg is investing in our ambitious vision to support communities on the frontlines of environmental harm to know, use, and shape the law to overcome environmental racism – the work that Vivek, Sonkita, Rebecca, and Jay will speak about. We celebrate this award as a win for our global community of grassroots leaders working each day for land and environmental justice, and we look forward to sharing more about opportunities to support this work.
