YARDEPB is an Independent Registered Community-Based, Non-Political and Impartial Human Rights and Legal Empowerment Advocacy Organization, Accredited by Legal Aid Board (SL) and a Registered Member of National Coalition for Community Legal Empowerment (NaCCLE) seeking to Develop and Empower young people as well as other members of the rural community and also Build Peace for a better rural future. Our strategy/methodology is based on three approaches; i.e. Development, Empowerment and Peace Building. Each and every one of these approaches has its thematic areas that focus on achieving and/or addressing emerging issues of Human Rights and Legal Empowerment that deal with Abuses/Violations, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Child Protection, the Rule of Law, Governance, Transparency and Accountability, Civic Education, Health Rights/Accountability, Democracy, among others from our various communities in the Western Area Rural District and the Nation as a whole for the benefit of our people generally.
