WE ACT works on issues of climate and environmental justice, air quality, healthy homes, toxic products, sustainable transit, good food, land use, open space, and civic engagement. We achieve our mission to engage the most affected low income residents in environmental decision making through organizing, advocacy, community-based participatory research, and worker training.
WE ACT also has a federal policy office in Washington DC which creates a presence in Congress for the Environmental Justice Leadership Forum, a network of 55 grassroots EJ organizations across 22 states. We engage in capacity building and regrants to build the capacity and to share knowledge that builds movement.
