Tanzania Child and Youth Rescue Organization (TCYRO) is a National Non-Governmental Organization headquartered in Kibondo District, Kigoma Region, Tanzania. The organization is registered to operate in Tanzania mainland with registration number 00NGO/00010209 and comply with Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) with registration number 139-469-690 for its workers to pay as they earn (PAYE) and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) with payment number 995530021492. The organization basically engages in children protection and youth empowerment programs. TCYRO Vision is “To be the best Centre for advocating child rights and youth empowerment in attainment of better livelihood and social wellbeing. MISSION:To have a community in which children, Adolescents, girls, youth, marginalized and vulnerable groups are empowered to realize their rights and potentials”. The decision to establish this organization was a direct response to promote sustainable management, protection and promotion of child and youth and indeed becoming the best Centre of which the child and youth grievances will be heard and adhered to. Since its establishment in 2019, TCYRO has implemented various projects using its own sources of fund and others under partnership mode with MARIE STOPES TANZANIA, AfriYAN, UNESCO and TANZANIA INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION (TIE). TCYRO is a member of various Networks including 1. African Youth and Adolescents Network (AfriYAN) on Population and Development 2. Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (ACPHA). 3. Global Civil Society Network for Malaria Elimination.
