Street Rights aims to secure justice for street-connected children globally by challenging the harmful laws that violate their rights

Presence in: United Kingdom
Focus: Children's Rights

Street Rights was set up to empower street-connected children to use the law to change their lives. We will work with them to identify the most pressing rights violations they face and develop a strategy to use the law to create change. If this identifies legal action, we will work with children to pursue legal change and support them through the process.

We will work with NGO partners who are expert at working with street-connected children and who the children trust to support them through any legal process.

We aim to work in South Africa first and are fundraising currently for this.

Street Rights is led by Natalie Turgut-Thompson. Natalie is supported by an Advisory Council, currently with two of the world’s leading experts on street-connected children, and a Trustee Board who also bring street-connected children expertise.
