Rural Oriented Youth Movement-Nepal (ROYM-Nepal) is a non-profit making non-governmental organization established in 2009 with the aim of poverty reduction through skill transformation and youth engagement to achieve national development goals. ROYM Nepal supports the country in achieving the longer-term Sustainable Development Goals on poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, environment and social justice.
ROYM-Nepal worked for early relief and recovery of the 2015 mega-earthquake victims, collecting and distributing emergency food stuffs, conducted mobile medical camps, drinking water support, establishing shelter and temporary learning centers for earthquake victims, psychological counseling and stress management support to earthquake victims in different earthquake affected districts. ROYM-Nepal has been actively working in the areas of Disaster Risk Management.
Mission: Community based collective campaign to create an environment where marginalized groups can raise their voices for economic, cultural and social rights challenging the structural discrimination.
