Legatum Development Initiative (LDI) is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, currently operational in Nigeria. We work to improve the socio-economic livelihoods of the under-served, marginalized communities/groups in primarily rural areas.

LDI researches support training and engagement through innovative impact-filled capacity building, programs, and advocacy that help reduce poverty, inequalities, or vulnerabilities that militate against improved sustainable and healthier living in Nigeria.

OUR VISION

“A developed Nigeria, where everyone has equal access and opportunities without any form of bias or discrimination”

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

“We mobilize resources, strengthen institutional capacities, and advocate for enabling policies that achieve Social justice, Gender equality, and Eradicate poverty in Nigeria.”

Our Core Values

  • ACCOUNTABILITY: our growing partnerships are encouraged and sustained through incontrovertible integrity and transparency.
  • INTEGRITY: Our guiding principle in delivering visible impacts to our target groups is straightforwardness and consistency.
  • NON-DISCRIMINATION: We ensure our Interventions are carried out without bias to creed, class, race, religion, tribe, gender, or political disposition and affiliation.

OUR OPERATIONAL MODEL

  • RESEARCH: We believe that through qualitative and comprehensive research, we are better equipped with knowledge that would enable us to proffer innovative solutions using a community-based approach.
  • SENSITIZE: sensitization is used as an empowerment tool. Through seminars, meetings, training, and public lectures we engage institutions, government agencies, and organizations on the best possible, innovative grassroots approaches that will drive up development in Nigeria’s rural parts.
  • SUPPORT: We support by providing technical assistance, mobilization of resources, and conducting humanitarian responses to crisis areas and community programs.
