We are an organization focused on the defense of human rights, access to social justice, the reduction of violence and the social reintegration of the population, families and communities in Mexico.
CEA Justicia Social uses its experience and knowledge to work for the empowerment and legal autonomy of communities that have suffered abuse in the penal system; Strengthen the link and influence with communities, academia, civil society and public bodies such as the executive, legislative and judicial powers to promote and demand access to justice for vulnerable populations that have been in contact with the penal system.
We have been working directly with people with experiences of violence for more than five years, specifically with populations in conflict with the law and people who are victims of violence in different spaces, both public and civil society.
We have influenced different legislative and political processes and in community spaces to make this sector of the population visible. This has made it possible to identify both the gaps in the inclusion, security and social reinsertion policies, as well as the challenges and opportunities for organization and interaction in the areas where they live and incidence in the public sphere.
