Brotee is a Bangladeshi non political, non profit, rights based organization founded in 2001. It works to protect the human rights of vulnerable communities, the ethnic and religious minorities and the ultra poor’ and their democratic and civic rights.
Legal Status:
• Registered with NGO Affairs Bureau, no. 1678, dated 26.09.2001.
• Registered with Social Welfare Department, no. Dha-06279, dated 29.08.2001.
• Affiliated with the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs
The Vision: Brotee has a vision of a just society, free from poverty and in harmony with nature.
The Mission: Its mission is to build a democratic society within the framework of an eco-feminist social order where nature, women and men live in harmony and where diversity is respected and equality and social justice are fundamental values.
Goal: To bring dignity to poor women, children and the vulnerable in Bangladesh.
Objectives
• To establish democracy and citizen’s participation in governance through people’s right to representation;
• To establish human dignity and freedom from poverty;
• To secure right to safe drinking water
• To build resilient communities affected by climate change.
