Aid for African Women & Girls (A2-WG) is a non-governmental, not-for profit, and non-partisan, organization that was established to tackle broadly the drivers of gender-based violence in Africa. The organization targets women and girls in protracted conflict zones, and locations, such as internally displaced persons, refugees, returnees, and members of host communities. A2-WG’s vision states that; “We foresee nations where women and girls have authority over their lives and bodies, and actively partake in decision-making processes where they strive and feel safe.” Our mission is “to establish sustainable collaborations and partnerships with UN agencies, civil society organizations, women’s rights organizations, government agencies, INGOs, and philanthropists to combat S/GBV issues. Our Core Objectives are; I. To ensure that women and girls survivors including persons with disabilities have access to clinical health services including multi-sectoral services in a timely and appropriate manner. II. To ensure that women and girls have access to basic psychosocial first aid, including MHPSS, ensuring they feel safe expressing their plights and issues surrounding their psychosocial well-being. III. To ensure that women and girls are empowered with Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) knowledge to strengthen the preventive and response approaches to S/GBV issues. IV. To ensure that women, girls, boys, men, and persons with disabilities including relevant stakeholders are empowered and strengthened to respond to, and prevent S/GBV concerns. We also respond to child protection issues, girl child education, human rights, women empowerment, S/GBV, inclusion and diversity, good governance and democracy, health, children associated with armed forces and groups, trafficking in persons, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR). We are open to sustainable partnerships and generous donations to cascade our strategic objectives.
