The African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable development, peace, and social inclusion across Somalia. ASEN works with communities, government institutions, and development partners to empower vulnerable populations—especially women, youth, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and minority groups—through innovative and community-driven solutions.

Our programs focus on education, livelihoods, governance, peacebuilding, health, and protection, ensuring that marginalized groups have equal access to opportunities and resources. ASEN prioritizes capacity building, community participation, and advocacy to foster resilience, reduce poverty, and support long-term recovery and development.

Through collaboration, research, and evidence-based interventions, ASEN strives to build a just and inclusive society where every individual can realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to sustainable peace and prosperity in Somalia.
