Preventing and Combating the Trafficking of Girls in India: Using Legal Empowerment Strategies

Main findings and conclusions from IDLO’s three-year research program on legal empowerment of the poor.  One of the sub-projects under this program, “Strengthening the Legal Framework for Girls in India, Bangladesh, Kenya and Liberia”, investigated factors that support or inhibit the legal protection of  girls.  This brief summarizes the project and its key recommendations.
