An Assessment of the Impact of Bangalore Citizen Report Cards on the Performance of Public Agencies

This resource, from the World Bank’s ECD Working Paper Series – Number 12, June 2004, finds that citizen report cards have been an important vehicle for civil society’s “voice” in Bangalore, and that they have had a significant impact on the quality of public services. The review identifies success factors and considers the replicability of the report card approach.
