QYG operates through a diverse network that includes representatives from various gender identities, sexual orientations, caste, ethnic groups, and disability backgrounds. This approach ensures that all voices are heard and represented in all aspects of their work.
Despite the formal hierarchy, QYG practices a non-hierarchical approach in its decision-making processes, valuing the perspectives and input of all members. By empowering young queer leaders, QYG demonstrates its dedication to fostering an environment where the voices of young people are uplifted and respected.
QYG recognizes that issues of queer rights lie within the intersection of various social justice movements and actively connects its work with other movements such as women’s rights, indigenous people’s and ethno-lingual rights, disability rights, and Dalit rights.
