Nantayi Women Foundation is a community-based organization located in Semuto, Wakiso District, Uganda. We focus on promoting and protecting women’s rights, particularly for those who face gender-based injustices and discrimination. Many women in our community experience challenges such as domestic violence, property grabbing, being unfairly chased from their homes, and lack of access to legal support.
Our organization works at the grassroots level, conducting community sensitization programs to educate women about their legal and human rights, advocating for gender equality, and linking vulnerable women to professional lawyers who provide affordable or pro bono services. We also engage with local leaders, community members, and other stakeholders to address systemic barriers and cultural practices that deny women their rights.
Our mission is to empower women to know, claim, and exercise their rights while fostering a community where women are respected, protected, and able to live with dignity. Through advocacy, education, and legal support, we aim to create sustainable change that bridges the gap between women and justice.
