We are a digital rights and digital advocacy group working to ensure underserved groups in our community participate in governance and access opportunity through collaborative advocacy.

Presence in: Kenya
Focus: Children's Rights, Community Organizing, Disability Rights, Education, Environmental Justice, Ethnic / Religious Minorities' Rights, Gender-based violence, Governance, Accountability & Transparency, Indigenous Peoples' Rights, Peace-building & Transitional Justice, Policy Advocacy, Protection & Safety, Repression and Closing Civic Spaces, Right to Information, Women's Rights

With the increasingly key role of digital tools in civic engagement, I rallied fellow youth, activists and technical communities in my community to start a digital inclusion advocacy/ digital rights movement – HakiDigital Initiative – Haki is the Swahili word for ‘right(s)’. We undertake collaborative advocacy through physical and virtual approaches such as community sensitization on internet literacy, social media campaigns and training to enhance safe, open and trustworthy internet use on digital platforms among underserved youth in Nakuru County, Kenya and beyond. As the Convener and Programs Lead, we have in particular managed to create misinformation awareness through our #Uhakika Campaign, among youth, women and marginalized groups. https://linktr.ee/HakiDigitalKe
