Young women in Action is a membership-based organization that is currently present in 4 districts in Zambia through its general membership. Some of its strategic goals include:

1.) To increase the number of young women participating in governance processes in different political and socio-economic spheres at family, community, organizational and national levels thereby promoting young women’s participation in Governance Processes.

2.) To quadruple the current number of young women that the organization has been able to help, improve young women’s reproductive health status and access treatment to HIV/AIDS services to promote Sexual Reproductive Health and HIV/AIDS.

3.) To facilitate opportunities and start economic empowerment community projects everywhere we have a footprint for young women that will assist them in raising their socio-economic status in the country so as to promote the Socio-economic empowerment of young women.

4.) To increase awareness and understanding of gender and development issues amongst young women therefore promoting Gender Development.
