United Safe Environment Creators, is a grassroots, non-profit, community-based organization run by refugees in the Kakuma refugee camp. The organization started back in 2015 and was legalized in November 2016 under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Service with reg. SCSDO/CBO/BO-201 and certificate no. 38613.

At United Safe Environment Creators, we are a group of dynamic and passionate young refugees committed to creating a better future for ourselves and our communities. Our organization was founded in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya, and we are proud to be a community-based initiative that addresses crucial issues such as livelihood, child protection, and climate change. We are driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to positively impact our community. We invite you to join us and become a part of our passion for creating a safe and prosperous future for all.

Mission: To empower young refugees and their communities through livelihood initiatives, child protection, and environmental sustainability, fostering a safe and prosperous future for all.

Vision: A world where refugees and marginalized communities have access to quality education, sustainable livelihood opportunities, and live in a safe environment where they can thrive and contribute positively to society.

Objectives

  • To promote access to quality, inclusive education for all, regardless of their background.
  • Enable refugees and marginalized communities to build sustainable livelihoods through skills development, entrepreneurship training, and access to resources, thereby fostering economic resilience and self-sufficiency.
  • Promote environmental conservation and sustainability within refugee camps and surrounding communities through awareness campaigns, tree planting, waste management initiatives, and collaborative efforts, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for present and future generations.
