Society for Peace and Sustainable Development (SPSD)-Pakistan is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) committed and devoted to take the power of law to deprived and marginalized sections of the society and make sure that they have access to justice.
SPSD-Pakistan is based at district Muzaffargarh, South Punjab, Pakistan and works in five districts of South Punjab, Pakistan.
Our main Programs and activities are as follow.
Our focus areas are
1-Women Rights (Gender based violence)
2- Minority rights
3- Access to Information
We are working on Gender based Violence with special emphasis on Forced and Early Girl Child Marriages. Recently, SPSD-Pakistan have completed a project on Elimination of gender based violence in rural areas of South Punjab, Pakistan with the financial help of May 18 Foundation, South Korea.
Another focus area of SPSD-Pakistan is Minority Rights. We are giving awareness and sensitization on sensible use of Blasphemy laws in the rural areas of South Punjab, Pakistan.
SPSD-Pakistan is also working on Transparency & Right to Information Act 2013, government of Punjab. We are giving awareness on the process and procedure to get information from the government and public institutions for the individual and community betterment and development.
