Rohingya Art Club is a community led initiative based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, dedicated to preserving and promoting Rohingya culture, identity, and lived experiences through art. Founded to create a safe and creative space for young refugees, the organization empowers youth to express themselves, document their stories, and build confidence through artistic practice.
The club provides regular training in basic drawing, painting, color theory, and visual storytelling. It has supported and trained hundreds of young artists, many of whom had no prior access to creative education. Through mentorship and collaborative learning, participants develop both technical skills and a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage.
Our activities include art workshops, exhibitions, community art projects, and collaborations with local and international partners. We also integrate storytelling and theatre to raise awareness on social issues such as education, child protection, identity, and human rights. These initiatives help amplify Rohingya voices and foster dialogue within and beyond the community.
Rohingya Art Club also contributes to cultural preservation by documenting traditions, clothing, language, and everyday life through visual art. By engaging youth in meaningful creative work, the organization promotes resilience, dignity, and a sense of belonging in a challenging refugee context.
Through its programs, the club continues to serve as a platform for creativity, advocacy, and positive social change, using art as a powerful tool to inspire, educate, and connect communities.
