Rights Advocacy and Youths Development Initiative (RAYDI) was founded and registered in Nigeria in 2019 in response to the alarming and ever-rising number of awaiting trial cases in Nigeria with sizeable number of the inmates unable to afford lawyers’ services on one hand and the pitiable condition of youths, women and children in rural communities in Nigeria and Africa generally on the other.
The organization provides free legal and rehabilitation services to indigent inmates and other poor persons with human rights concerns, advocates for the promotion of human rights, enhances the public’s awareness of their basic rights, promotes empowerment, education and welfare of youths, women and children in rural communities through sustainable youth and rural development initiatives.
