Restorative Justice for Africa (REJA) is a youth-led organization closing the justice gap for undeserved people using restorative justice interventions, policy advocacy, legal tech and direct service delivery to curb prison congestion and re-offending in Nigeria and across Africa.
REJA is also committed to restoring peace and Justice by strengthening communities and
promoting institutional reforms in the criminal justice sector. Our solution focuses on free legal
representation for low income earners detained in Correctional facilities without trial especially
women and children in conflict with the law. We also reach out to communities that have been
affected by crime and engage in dialogue with the community leaders and victims of crimes so as to
rebuild trust in the Nigerian Criminal Justice system while also providing proper rehabilitation and
reintegration programs for offenders. Finally, we train law enforcement officers on the principles of
human rights and restorative policing to improve institutional accountability.
