Kachere Progressive Women’s Group is a feminist oriented, community based, not for profit making, Non-Governmental, women’s rights organisation established in 2008. The organisation is based in Malawi in the southern part of Africa. The organisation was established to protect, promote and defend human rights for marginalised, excluded and vulnerable rural, semi-literate and illiterate women and girls in rural areas in the country. The organisation is legally registered with the government of Malawi, Council for Non-Governmental Organisations in Malawi (CONGOMA), Nsanje Civil Society Organisations Network to mention some. KPWG is registered as a national NGO and has the mandate to implement projects in any part of the country. Our previous projects have been supported by the AmplifyChange Limited from England, International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA) from Geneva, Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Rights from Kenya, Global Fund for Women from U.S.A, Tithetse Nkhanza and Spotlight Initiative to mention some.
