The Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) is a volunteer-based non-profit national nongovernmental organisation championing education support initiatives and socio-economic development. EFSS provides education, leadership development, and community-building initiatives to support individuals and marginalised communities through grassroots activities encouraging literacy, community peace, tolerance, and development.

Registered in September 2021 at the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) with Registration Number 3,852, we are willing to be a force of intervention and always act in the best interest of communities by contributing to addressing urgent community needs to realise an improved standard of living.

The organization’s activities range from capacity building to service delivery, with a focus on the deprived and marginalized segments of society.

In terms of operations, what distinguishes the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan’s functioning are its efforts to:

1. enlist the participation of locals when initiating activities at the grassroots level; and

2. mobilize the community for the promotion of peace, tolerance, and development in society.

Although a relatively new entrant in the development arena, the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan hopes to establish links with national and international funding agencies in order to enjoy a diverse portfolio marked by partnerships with organizations such as National Non-Governmental Organizations, UN Agencies, respective Ministries, States, and the National Government of South Sudan.
