The Community Outreach for Development and Welfare Advocacy was established in 1999 following Nigeria’s return to civil rule after decades of military dictatorship. CODWA had been part of the efforts to enthrone Good goverñance in Nigeria. We provide services for victims of human rights abuse, child abuse and police brutality. Providing legal assistance, prison reform and conflict resolution. CODWA is a member of several Coalitions; like the ICC, ZERO corruption, Publish What You Pay and the Open Government Alliance, Joint Action Forum and United Action for Democracy.

We work on Environmental accountability and law reforms.
