Climate Change Africa Opportunities, CCAO in acronym, is a pan-African and indigenous non-profit organization whose main mission is to improve and strengthen the resilience of communities to climate change from a perspective of poverty reduction, climate and environmental justice, environmental protection and inclusive and resilient management of natural resources in Africa.

In the area of ​​environmental justice, Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) has carried out several projects to support local initiatives that support indigenous peoples, women and local communities to resist and face injustices caused by human rights violations, forest and environmental governance problems, industrial projects and investments that do not comply with the environmental standards in force. She is involved and leads advocacy to facilitate the improvement of progressive policies and the implementation of alternative frameworks that are environmentally equitable in order to eliminate the inequalities and injustices suffered by millions of women and girls. farmers and work with self-managed groups that traditionally come from marginalized communities in Africa.

Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) has set up the CCAO Network, which currently brings together 54 national focal points and 1404 entrepreneurs and young Green Ambassadors for the climate involved in advocacy and adaptation to climate change and which works with partners , government institutions, grassroots community organizations, indigenous and local communities to implement many climate smart initiatives and influence relevant policies to help build communities resilient to climate change and its impacts in Africa.
