Centre for Disability Rights, Education, and Advocacy (CREAD) is a Kenyan organization committed to promoting equal access to justice for persons with disabilities through legal aid, strategic litigation, and advocacy. CREAD works to eliminate systemic barriers that hinder PWDs from fully exercising their legal rights by offering legal representation, policy engagement, and public awareness initiatives.

Legal Aid & Access to Justice – CREAD is in the process of establishing a dedicated legal aid service for PWDs in Kenya. This initiative will offer free legal assistance, including case representation, legal advice, and community legal education, ensuring that PWDs can effectively claim their rights.
Strategic Litigation – CREAD will engage in high-impact legal cases that challenge discriminatory laws, policies, and practices. By handling landmark cases, the organization seeks to set legal precedents that improve justice for all PWDs.
Policy & Legislative Advocacy – CREAD will work to influence national laws and policies to align with disability rights principles. Through research, legal analysis, and coalition-building, the organization will pushe for stronger enforcement of disability-inclusive laws.
Public Awareness & Disability Justice Movement – CREAD will integrate media, storytelling, and grassroots campaigns to promote disability inclusion in Kenya’s justice system.
