Following the Nepalese Prime Minister’s declaration that 2010 would be the year to combat gender based violence in Nepal, a large-scale mapping project was launched. The Asia Foundation, in conjunction with the UK Department for International Development and the Prime Minister’s Gender Advisor, undertook the task of mapping existing efforts by government and non-government actors in Nepal to combat gender based violence.
This report details the findings of the preliminary study conducted during February – March 2010 and provides a model for other countries interested in similar efforts.
