Mediation in Domestic Violence Situations

In many communities where IRC works, mediation is traditionally used to resolve conflicts and disputes. What mediation looks like varies from context to context but generally involves community leaders taking a decision-making role in dealing with disputes within and between families. This resource provides an introductory understanding to the practice of mediation and how the International Rescue Committee employs this method when dealing with Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence.
