Teaching Guidance and Handouts – Housing disrepair: assessing courses of action and developing communication skills

This training resource has been developed by Law for Life: the Foundation for Public Legal Education, together with our award-winning information service Advicenow (www.advicenow.org.uk).

This training resource contains handouts and guidance notes to be used in conjunction with the handouts. Three different legal topics have been paired with particular skills to form each module.

This module deals with practical legal questions of disrepair and the relationship between landlord and tenant. It provides the opportunity to develop and practice key communication skills and the ability to identify and assess different courses of action for dealing with disrepair problems.
