Solid, consistent working relationships with community leadership structures (Councilors, Chiefs, CBOs, Churches, schools, etc.) are the cornerstone of Trans Vanguard’s intervention efforts. In addition to collaborating with local government structures, Trans Vanguard coordinates efforts at national and district levels with ambassadors (who are young women) through peer to peer support. Our ambassadors have safe spaces to come together, either through ICT (mainly WhatsApp, telegram, zoom, etc.) or face to face meetings to discuss leadership, development and green entrepreneurship issues. Majority of our ambassadors are unemployed graduates. During COVID-19 lockdown Trans Vanguard was less challenged meet with the ambassadors on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) issues.
