Tetea Jamii Social Justice Center works with vulnerable communities in coastal Kenya, including women, youth and small-scale fishers to advance social, gender and environmental justice. We strengthen access to justice through legal awareness, survivor support and community-led advocacy. Our programs address gender-based violence, promote gender equality and empower communities to understand and claim their rights. We also support environmental and climate justice initiatives, including mangrove restoration and sustainable livelihoods, enabling communities to challenge systemic injustices and participate meaningfully in decisions that affect their lives.
