Somali Minority Women Organization (SoMWO) is a women-led organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities in Somalia. We focus on improving the lives of minority women, girls, and other vulnerable groups by addressing critical social, economic, and health challenges.

Our work includes supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) through women and girls’ safe spaces, providing legal aid, psychosocial support, and access to essential services. We also implement projects aimed at enhancing education, creating livelihood opportunities, and promoting community resilience.

SoMWO is actively engaged in climate action, working to mitigate the impact of climate change on vulnerable populations by advocating for sustainable solutions and building local capacity to adapt to environmental challenges.

At SoMWO, we are committed to fostering inclusive development and ensuring that every woman and girl has a voice in shaping her future.
