Rao One Humanity is a grassroots organization based in Kawanda, Uganda, committed to promoting women’s rights and advancing gender justice. We work directly with women and girls, especially survivors of gender based violence, helping them understand, use, and influence the law to protect their rights and improve their lives.
Our programs focus on legal empowerment, community organizing, and advocacy. We train community paralegals, provide awareness sessions on rights and legal processes, and support women in navigating justice systems. By engaging local leaders, authorities, and communities, we aim to challenge harmful cultural practices and ensure accountability for violations of women’s rights.
Through education, mentorship, and collective action, Rao One Humanity strives to create safer, equitable communities where women and girls can thrive, participate fully in decision making, and contribute to shaping policies and systems that affect their lives.
