Ohana is a non-profit organization based in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, committed to advancing social justice and inclusive development. Since its establishment in March 2009 and official registration as a Non-Governmental Organization on July 6, 2012, Ohana has worked at the forefront of policy advocacy, disability rights, and the development of equitable social policies.

To strengthen its impact, Ohana operates through two key divisions: Ohana Craft, which promotes economic empowerment and inclusive livelihoods, and the Ohana Law Center, which focuses on legal advocacy, policy reform, and the protection of rights. Currently, Ohana is also expanding its work through the development of the Ohana Training Center, aimed at building capacity, knowledge, and leadership among communities and stakeholders.

A central priority of Ohana’s work is the elimination of gender-based violence (GBV), particularly against girls and women with disabilities. Through its integrated approach combining advocacy, research, legal support, and community empowerment —Ohana continues to drive meaningful change for marginalized groups across Indonesia.
