Neev – Foundation for Legal Aid was founded in July 2020, with the aim of enabling access to justice for the urban poor in Delhi. Created with the mission of expanding access to the law—in particular, to victims of human rights violations, and in cases concerning women’s and children’s rights, Neev is presently operational out of two Centres, located in Delhi. Our mission is to use the law as a catalyst for social change and to create more socially just outcomes. Neev draws on the use of legal aid, awareness and mediation to provide and improve access to the legal system for citizens. We believe that through legal education, quasi-legal support, and pro-bono litigation services, we can contribute to the form and idea of an egalitarian society in practice. By furthering access to legal aid and education, we take active steps toward realizing our vision of an egalitarian India. Our work employs a four-prong initiative: Legal Aid, including mediation and quasi-legal support Social – Legal Entitlement, like voter ID camps, Aadhaar card camps, Labour card camps, etc. Legal Education and awareness Legal Advocacy
