MICHE ASBL (Mission des Femmes Intégrantes pour la Contribution Humanitaire et l’Émancipation) is a Congolese non-profit organization founded in 2015 in Uvira, South Kivu, and legally registered in 2019. It was created by committed women and youth in response to the impact of armed conflict, human rights violations, and widespread gender-based violence affecting communities in eastern DRC.

The organization works to promote, protect, and defend the rights of women, youth, and children, while supporting their socio-economic reintegration and resilience. MICHE ASBL operates across South Kivu and other provinces, including hard-to-reach and conflict-affected areas.

Its mission is to accompany communities in building sustainable peace and development through inclusive, community-driven approaches. Its vision is a society where women and youth enjoy good health, socio-economic well-being, and actively contribute to peacebuilding.

MICHE ASBL implements both humanitarian and development programs focusing on: gender equality and prevention of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), education and child protection, livelihoods and food security, WASH, health and nutrition, climate resilience, and peacebuilding. The organization also promotes entrepreneurship, vocational training, and digital inclusion for women and youth.

Using participatory strategies, MICHE ASBL strengthens local capacities, supports vulnerable groups including internally displaced persons, and collaborates with community leaders and stakeholders to ensure sustainable impact and accountability.

Through its integrated approach, MICHE ASBL contributes to restoring dignity, strengthening resilience, and advancing inclusive development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
