The Union of Indigenous Pygmy Women for Peace and Integral Development (UFAPDI ASBL) works to empower indigenous Pygmy women and improve the well-being of their communities. Our organization focuses on promoting the rights of women, preserving cultural heritage, and supporting sustainable development initiatives. We implement projects that strengthen women’s leadership and participation in decision-making processes, enhance access to education and healthcare, and promote economic empowerment through skills training and community initiatives. UFAPDI also advocates for the protection of natural resources and the environment, which are crucial for the survival and resilience of Pygmy communities. Through collaboration with local and regional partners, awareness campaigns, and community engagement, we aim to create lasting social change, amplify the voices of indigenous women, and ensure their inclusion in policies and programs that affect their lives. Our work combines grassroots action, rights advocacy, and sustainable development strategies to foster a more just, inclusive, and culturally respectful society.
