BACKGROUND

Love A Friend Youth Development Organization popularly known as “Love A Friend” is a Nongovernment Organization located in Mbuya 1 parish, Nakawa Division Kampala District, established in 2014 to address social economic challenges of youth unemployment and limited economic participation by women through economic empowerment, skills training. The Organization Registered as a CBO with the in 2014 with Registration Number NAK/14/183 at Kampala Capital City Authority and later registered with Uganda Registration Service Bureau as a company limited by guarantee (Registration Number 80020001427496) to expand on its activities and coverage. Key  thematic areas for the organization are:- 1) Livelihood 2)  Education, 3) Health 4) Environment and 5) Advocacy

Mission OUR MISSION IS TO:To promote individual/ Community Participation, Partnership, and Collaboration on Poverty Eradication, Economic Empowerment, Health Promotion,  Conservation of Natural Resources promotion of Human Rights among the most vulnerable and affected ones in the community for Social, Political and Economic Development with a Tangible and Sustainable Impact on Job Creation, Livelihoods and Poverty Alleviation

Objectives

3. To Promote and Encourage Self-Reliant Initiatives in the Community
4. To Promote and Encourage  Savings and Investment in the community
5. To create a Source of Fund for the Organization to run its activities
