Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Masyarakat (LBH Masyarakat/Community Legal Aid Institute) is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization that provides free legal services for the poor and victims of human rights abuses; undertakes community legal empowerment for marginalized groups; and advocates for law reform and human rights protection through campaigns, strategic litigation, policy advocacy, research and analysis.

Established on 8 December 2007, LBH Masyarakat aims to empower and develop the ability of communities and their potential in order to enable them to undertake self-reliant legal aid movement. LBH Masyarakat envisions a future where everyone in the society has meaningful access to justice through participating in legal aid movement, upholding justice and protecting human rights.

LBH Masyarakat focuses its works in the following areas: legal aid, legal empowerment, legal reform, criminal justice reform, fair trial, torture, death penalty, right to health, human rights and drug policy reform, human rights and HIV/AIDS. Throughout its work in the past eight years or so, LBH Masyarakat has evolved to be a leading legal aid organization/human rights organization which has expertise on the intersections between drug policy and human rights as well as HIV and human rights. LBH Masyarakat also defends human rights of those who are forgotten and at the margins of the society such as sex workers; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex; people who use drugs; people living with HIV, and people facing the death penalty/execution.

LBH Masyarakat main areas of work consists of: casework/strategic litigation; legal empowerment; and, campaigns and policy work.
