The Kenya National Civil Society Centre (KNCSC) is an independent public benefit organization (PBO) founded and working in the Republic of Kenya as a platform for networking, solidarity, synergy, growth, and development of the civil society in order to effectively harness the transformative power of citizens and their organizations for the realization of good governance, respect for human rights, sustainable and equitable development and accountable exercise of State and public authority.

What is our Mission?
To build and strengthen the capacity, resilience, and impact of the civil society, and to support them to transform governments at the national and county levels into responsive and accountable public service institutions.
What are our objectives?
- To provide a platform for the civil society to interact, share information and harmonize interventions and proactive approaches to local and national issues;
- To promote and foster purposive solidarity, synergy building, consolidation, and strengthening of the civil society sector in Kenya;
- To work with the civil society and independent media actors, including bloggers towards the enhancement of their individual and collective security;
- To create mechanisms for collective relations, negotiations, and engagements with governments, the private sector, donors, and inter-governmental institutions;
- To strengthen the capacity of CSOs through training, exchange programmes, and sharing of best practices;
- To establish, operationalize and enforce a peerage mechanism for review, learning, and self-regulation within the civil society; and
- To conceptualize and establish a Civil Society Resource Centre;
