The International Governance Institute (IGI) is involved in a series of activities based on its objects and functions with the sole purpose of building a culture of integrity, improving governance in public administration and alleviating the plight of the poor. Having contributed to building capability for integrity, strengthening of governance systems and economic empowerment of the poor for over 10 years under its Focal Integrity Teams in Cameroon, the organization received fresh recognition N0.00000033/A/MINATD/SG/DAP/SDLP/SAC as a foreign organization working in Cameroon. This recognition has resulted to its rebranding from, IGI’s Focal Integrity Teams to International Governance Institute [IGI] Cameroon. The International Governance Institute [IGI] is a global development organisation registered as a charity under English law, and has similar representations in several African countries.
Under the oversight of its trustees who are mainly British nationals, the programs and country activities of the organization in Cameroon are being implemented by IGI’s country office headed by a Resident Country Representative and assisted by the Technical Management Team.
