Foundation for Community Driven Development was founded by youth’s women with the view of enhancing peace and development in Tanzania working on the interconnected issues of economic, good government, environmental and racial justice, peace, and human rights through education, advocacy, training, non-violent activism and community empowerment.
The organization was established on 12 December 2012 as a community-based group. on 15 August 2019 it was transformed from based community group to Non- governmental organization and it was issued with certificate No. OONGO/R/0472 as an NGO (not for profit-making). Also it registered as legal aid provider with certificate no LAP-2022-0011 to provide legal aid.
OBJECTIVES: To improve the socio-economic development of poor rural communities through promoting human rights, good governance, legal, civic, policy advocacy and enhancement of access to justice and peace through the provision community-based approach to the vulnerable and marginalized groups.
